WELCOME TO THE SEASON OF THE SNAKE

Following on from our last year’s Winter of Fear, this spring brings the Season of the Snake for Achtung! Cthulhu fans. What does that mean? Well, it’s an alliterative celebration surrounding the launch of The Serpent and the Sands, our new combined guide book for North Africa plus 10-part campaign against the invidious Ophidians.

What strange wonders lurk within this slithering snakeskin wrapper, you ask? Well, during the celebrations surrounding the launch of the print and PDF versions of The Serpent and the Sands on April 18th, we’ll be bringing you freebies, live plays, a competition and much more.

TWO DESERT-THEMED SECTION M PRIORITY FILES
First up, is Our Lady of the Eternal Sapphire (April 11th) by Pat McNally featuring a strange excursion to an unholy monastery on the outskirts of Cairo. The second, Assault on Zuara 2, by Bill Heron, is a daring assault on a desert airfield overrun by Nazi nasties (April 25th). With a main mission, map and plenty of adventure seeds, both are dangerous forays into enemy territory to get you excited and inspire your North African adventures.

LET'S PLAY SERIES WITH SKY HAMMER GAMES
We’ve also got a fantastic Let’s Play Series from those splendid folks at Sky Hammer Press as GM Meric Moir introduces the Falcons of Fortune who fly free for an eight part playthrough of the first Serpent and the Sands mission Dying to Meet You.
They’ll also be providing hints, tips, rules and explanations of how to play Achtung! Cthulhu 2d20. So, If you’ve never seen the game in action before but have always been curious about what it entails, then this is the perfect place to start.

TWO DISCORD AMAs
We’ll also be dropping in for two AMAs on Discord where you’ll get a chance to put your questions to the Achtung! Cthulhu development team and find out about the inner workings of 2d20 game design. The first, on April 18th, focuses on Serpent and the Sands itself, what went into its making and how its many mysteries were conceived. Then on April 25th creative lead John Houlihan will be hosting a special look into the future of the series and revealing what you can expect over the next 12 months.


COMPETITION! DESIGN A NEW PRIORITY MISSION

We’ll also be throwing open the doors to you with a special competition to design a new Section M: Priority Mission, a short scenario with a map and adventure seeds. The best ones will not only win some exciting prizes, but they’ll also be published and given an official Achtung! Cthulhu release. SERPENT AND THE SANDS

It is said you cannot leave Africa, it is always with you and in this combined guide and campaign book for Achtung! Cthulhu 2d20, we present a complete field guide for one of the Secret War’s most intriguing theatres, plus an epic 10-part campaign battling the might of the invidious Ophidians!
