For those new to Index Card RPG or its author Hankerin Ferinale, the game is more than a system, but a way of thinking. The humble index card serves as an avatar for simplified thinking, doing-it-yourself with confidence and transparency, and letting the fun flow without rules overhead. ICRPG works, on every page, in every system, to reinforce this way of thinking. For many, this is crystallized most directly in the book's GM section, which has been critically acclaimed as a must-read for years. The DIY, don't-sweat-it mindset extends to character building to rolling dice, all the way down to where folks sit at the table. Its approach is simple, driven by LOOT and consolidated STATS, but filled with the kind of 'headroom' a homebrew table thrives on.

ICRPG equals roleplaying

I am eagerly awaiting the Collector's Edition to round out my ICRPG books. I've been following Runehammer and his iterations of ICRPG since 2017. Simply the best philosophy for roleplaying members of any level. This system truly wants you to tell EPIC stories and allow the mechanics to aid that story telling. Go to Runehammer's website (https://www.runehammer.online/) and get a taste of this engaging system.

Best version yet!

The Master Edition is the best version of ICRPG yet. It combines a number of the previous products and adds new material in a presentation that is friendly to new players.

The most versatile d20 RPG System

Index Card RPG (ICRPG) Master Edition release comes with 5 worlds in 5 different genres, but ICRPG is designed from the start in the DIY/homebrew spirit and can be used to quickly build games around any setting, genre, or fan property that you can think of. The system itself is simple and can be picked by new and experienced players alike literally in minutes. It is so easy for GMs and players to work together on character concepts that no restrictive race and class systems are necessary to help players build and play exactly the kind of character they want to play.

This book includes a section just for GMs that helps explain and empower GMs to create scenarios in any system that are challenging, fun, and rewarding.

The artwork in this book reflects the original namesake of the game, in the style of fun sharpie drawings on index cards that a GM might sketch out at the table, but the style is surprisingly sophisticated with movement and energy that is inspiring in a way that the more high fidelity but rigid artwork from other systems typically falls short of.

Not only is ICRPG one of the best d20 systems out there, but the community is passionate, creative, and incredibly helpful. If you are new to TTRPGs and want a fairly rules-light game system to get started with, or if you are a creative GM that loves to try out lots of crazy ideas at your table, ICRPG should absolutely be on your shelf.

Simply Amazing!

Cheers for Runehammer's ICRPG! An absolutely fantastic system that is elegant in its simplicity and engaging in its presentation. With stunningly evocative black and white artwork by the author himself throughout, this rules-light RPG packs a punch and puts the players in the crosshair of delightful danger at every turn! ICRPG has provided countless hours of fun to my group and tons of invaluable knowledge and inspiration for me as a DM. If you want a fun rules framework that facilitates the action and doesn't get in the way of the roleplaying, then you have found what you seek! Buy it and thank Hank later.
